Fort Kronan

click4big

The fort was built in 1687-89 as a part of Gothenburgs defense against an overland attack by the Danes and replaced an slightly older and temporary one.

Captured with a Schneider 360mm mounted on the 1D Mark II.

The Cliff

I realized that even though I’ve enjoying stitching panoramas since I started out with digital photography in 2005 I have never showed you one!

This is one that I captured yesterday in Klippan, “The Cliff” and it portrays “Sankta Birgittas kapell” from 1857 and some elderly buildings. The red one is sporting the color “Rödfärg” that usually is made from iron oxide and has been in use since the Viking era.

Klippan itself has been a harbor documented in use since the 15:th century and was the home of the East Indian Company, shipping on China during the 18:th and 19:th centuries. It has been engulfed by the major city for some time now…

“La Nuit Américaine”

Day for night in America… A technology making scenes looking like taken in the middle of the night while in broad daylight. Don’t miss out on François Truffaut movie with that title!

This is the Assyrian church in Bergsjön. An obvious work in progress since it has looked like this for years now…
